Emma & Dan celebrated their wedding at Weekapaug Inn in Watch Hill, RI, a little town that is special to them – where they spend their free time and a destination they both grew up frequenting. The wedding day started with Dan and his groomsmen meeting early in the morning for a swim in the ocean. Emma and her bridesmaids had a relaxing morning at the Inn. The bride & groom chose to see each other before their wedding ceremony so that they could enjoy all of their cocktail hour with guests. This gorgeous Rhode Island wedding was featured on Over the Moon.

The Weekapaug Inn, a luxury Rhode Island beach hotel, is situated on the shoreline overlooking Quonochontaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean. Weekapaug Inn offers quintessentially New England accommodations and resort feel, combining casual comfort & luxurious amenities.

The Weekapaug Inn wedding ceremony took place next to the water as sailboats carried about just beyond. Emma & Dan shared intimate vows under the most gorgeous Chuppah that Emma's dad built and Semia Floral Design decorated with the most beautiful late summer, early fall flowers.

The back lawn of the Inn, overlooking the water is where guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Del's lemonades in hand, as the sun set. The wedding guests were then invited into a gorgeous tent for the reception. The tables were set with beautiful florals, accented by stone fruits, and lit by soft pink candlelights. The newlyweds were called into the tent and went right into their first dance. The evening concluded with a gorgeous sunset over the tented reception.

Hosting a wedding at weekapaug inn

The Weekapaug Inn is what I would call Classic New England. The charming drive along the coast up through to the entrance of the Inn are what I always thought New England would look and feel like. The entrance is welcoming - elegant but laid back, summer being my particular favorite when all of the hydrangeas are in bloom. The getting ready suite is bright and airy with ample room to spread out, including a deck to watch your ceremony space be set up. The wedding ceremony takes place on the back lawn overlooking the Quonochontaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean. As you walk down the aisle, the gorgeous Weekapaug Inn and those stunning summer hydrangeas are your backdrop - a photographer's dream. The wedding cocktail hour moves guests to the back patio where they can enjoy a classically Rhode Island treat, a Del's Lemonade while appetizers are passed. The sail-top tent at Weekapaug Inn welcomes guests with plenty of room for a wonderful wedding reception.
